THE BRAZIER STORY

our story

The Brazier Bins Family Legacy

Our founder, Ken Brazier, developed our signature product in 1961. As the younger son of LA Brazier and Sons (Pty) Ltd, a front-runner in the shelving and racking business, Ken was no stranger to the world of materials handling and certainly developed a reputation of excellence in his field.

Ken originally developed Brazier Bins as an in-house solution to store their small parts at Brazier’s. The effectiveness of these bins soon caught the attention of many hospitals, industrial warehouses and anyone needing small-part storage. It wasn’t long before Brazier Bins became a well-known stand-alone brand in the storage world.

Ken continued to design and install industrial racking solutions as well as selling his Brazier Bins until the age of 82.

Ken Brazier’s love for his clients was the cornerstone of our brand. He enjoyed interacting with his customers, many of whom became lifelong friends. During the riots in July 2021, Ken was so concerned about his clients that he endeavoured to call each of them to check on their well-being. He went on to offer his Brazier Bins to his clients at cost, to enable them to restore their tattered warehouses. This is a request that he was still fulfilling in his last few days, 2 weeks after the riots.

Today, Ken’s legacy continues under the leadership of his eldest child, Lee Dixie (nee Brazier).  His grandson, James, has also joined the business. We promise to uphold Ken’s same values and to continue delivering the exceptional service and quality that has come to be expected from Brazier Bins over the last 6 decades.
